TikTok announced a partnership with Bumble, a popular dating platform, launching a campaign called ‘Date with Better Answers.’ The campaign is aimed at European users and will be joined by TikTok content creators from France, Germany, and the UK.
The idea behind the campaign is to encourage daters to showcase their true selves while dating online, with the same creativity that can be found on TikTok. It will be centered on sharing hobbies, inspiring stories, and interests, aiming to connect users on a more personal level than through written bios.
In 2020, Bumble introduced interest badges as a way to connect its users through different hobbies they might have picked during the quarantine. However, users were allowed to choose only five out of 150 interests offered — those they identify the most with.
Now they’re taking it one step further by getting popular creators to make video content that will then be advertised across both platforms. The videos will center on relationships, building a fulfilling partnership, or simply giving the users ideas of some first-date conversation ideas.
